ANTH 247 - Ethnography of Polynesia
This course surveys the cultures and societies of the islands of Polynesia. It investigates the region in historical perspective, including its place in the popular imagination of the West. Topics covered include social organization, cosmology, gender, art, tourism, globalization, and ethnicity. ***Prerequisite: ANTH 100 or completion of 12 credit hours or permission of the Department Head.***
