This course offers an overview of Arab filmmaking practices and the political and social issues that have become central to Arab cinema. The course will expose students to the major directors of Arab cinema, and the historical, ideological, aesthetic and narrative concerns of their films. ***Prerequisite: Completion of 30 credit hours***
