GER 390AM - In Pursuit of Meaning: Translation Theory and Practice
We explore translation as both an academic pursuit and a practical professional activity. Students learn about "equivalence" (textual, grammatical, pragmatic), a concept central to translation, as well as the ethics and morality relating to the profession.
