PHIL 310AR - Rawls' Political Philosophy I |
This course examines John Rawls' political philosophy. Topics include; Rawls' "justice as fairness" theory, political liberalism and the problem of irreconcilable pluralism, and Rawls' theory of global justice. We discuss the ideal vs. non-ideal theory debate, and feminist and critical race theory critiques of Rawls.
***Prerequisite: One 200-level PHIL course or permission of the Department Head.***
