BUS 393 - UR Investing |
The course will manage the UR Investing Endowment Fund. Students taking this course will learn about financial decision-making from the real-world perspective of institutional investors. Students will perform the following duties: 1) develop Investment Policies and Guidelines; 2) conduct industry and firm level research to identify stocks and bonds that fit the fund’s investment objective; 3) trade stocks/bonds and monitor the performance of the fund; 4) meet with investor clients and provide them with regular reports.; and 5) participate in the CFA Research or Ethics Competitions.
***Prerequisite: BUS 093 and permission of the Faculty.***
*Note: Students may only receive credit for one of BUS 393 and BUS 492AD.*
