PSCI 490BL - Democracy in the Digital Age: Radical Ideologies and Online Communications
This research-oriented course focuses on the relationship between authoritarian regimes and global far-right political extremism, and how digital communication technologies maintain this connection. This course dives into this relationship characterized by mutual benefit, influence, and inspiration, and exposes the imminent threat this relationship poses to democratic discourse and online safety. ***Prerequisite: Two PSCI courses at the 200- or 300-level or completion of 60 credit hours.***
