PSCI 490BM - The Great Powers and the Contemporary World Order |
This course explores the growing rivalry among the world's leading states in the 21st century. We will analyze how the United States, China, and Russia are reshaping the global order. Topics include the rise of China, Russia's war in Ukraine, and Trump's "America First" foreign policy. We will also examining the role of other actors including NATO countries and the Global South in the era of a new cold war.
***Prerequisite: Two PSCI courses at the 200- or 300-level or completion of 60 credit hours.***
