ESST 317 - Teaching Engaged Citizenship: Social Studies and Social/Environmental Activism
An integrative, community based approach to social and environmental justice issues in local contexts. Students will engage in and reflect on community based action projects as a means of teaching for citizenship. The course models ways of connecting all students with community resources and community knowledge of contemporary issues. *** Prerequisite: For elementary (middle years concentration) pre-internship students only. ***
