PSCI 890CC - Disinformation and Extremism in the Digital Age
This course examines the emerging threats posed by foreign influence operations, extremist recruitment, generative artificial intelligence, and declining moderation on social media platforms. Drawing on interdisciplinary research from social psychology, international studies, political science, and crisis informatics, the course uses case studies to identify patterns and mechanisms of influence.
